I always think it's hilarious when you say Honda is a small company. I get where you're coming from, it's smaller than GM, Toyota, VW... but it must be fortune 500

I think about 1 in 10 cars I see on the road are Hondas.

I agree with you though, this Stang isn't super revolutionary, but they took a great car and made it a bit better. I can't fault anything with that approach.

Small relative to the other OEMs :D. We own, what, 9% share of the market? That's small cookies. But we have SUPER HIGH volume vehicles. That is HARD to do with our size.

Your last statement reminds me of the MK7 GTI.

 GM

Honda deserves major credit for perfecting previously implemented technology. Seriously, you guys take stuff that's so-so and make it world class. There's a lot to be said for perfecting, but innovating is also important. I think a lot of what's keeping Acura back is lack of innovation to some degree.

Its what we do best. You'll see soon enough :D

As for Acura.....give it a few years (2-3) and you'll see Acura's new direction. Right now, its conservative and simply out classed with its targets. BUT, it still delivers. IE, look at the RLX EAWD reviews that come out later this week.

The Mustang is safe, and will be successful. It's an evolution, but just like any other new car, the PR hype far blew out what it would actually be. What we got is what logic would have expected, while it was built up for be much more of a sports car. It's still too big (physically, not necessarily weight) to be a truly viable "sports car" and not a muscle car bruiser, IMO. It's still good, just more meh.

Styling can really dictate a car's sucess, which, for me I cannot understand. Mostly because I look at features and engineering instead of what people might think of me. They did a great job capturing the "Mustang" but...inserted too much Fusion.

I'd still second glance one if I saw it on the road, though.

Don't get an ATS, then.

We'll see about that. A 3-year lease on one would put me just after the next Camaro's rumored release.

I'd never be able to keep it that long, and the superior interior won't let me go. I sat in the Yaris last night and stroked the dash for an hour or so, made engine noises with my mouth and slammed through the man gears a bit. Got my fix in.

I figured Acura has plans. It continues with surprisingly solid market share in many of its segments. One of my favorite surprise drives was the TL Type-S 6-speed. What a magic drive that thing was/is.

Styling is a HUGE factor of a car's success. Especially with something like the Mustang where majority of consumers just buy it because they want to show off. Agreed, Mustang has way too much Fusion though, and I'm just not seeing anything spectacular from a feature standpoint. :iono: The general public will love it though.

We own german jellybean Yaris's, clearly we value features and engineering over style.

I like the styling of our German Yarii, doe.

Tight clean lines, no awkward shutlines, no unnecessary flair other than the plaid seats (which I love), everything has a purpose.

If i owned a mustang or bought one pre 5.0 engine...id be piiiiiissseeeeeddd. Each year i feel like they are screwing over the previous owners, its bound to happen but damn. Imagine if you bought a gt500 in the past few years...now that the new mustang is 420+ hp, that 80 hp difference dont look so good in terms of price. especially since they are giving the new mustang some gt500 parts. like a 2007 sti vs a 2010 wrx.

It's all about the plaid seats for me. The exterior styling is inoffensive, but nothing that makes the pants tight. Though, the rear 3/4 angle is pretty sick. I have my car backed into my garage, and every time I go out there, I get dat 3/4 azz angle. Something about the rear end...exhaust, faux diffuser, Spoiler, dem Ramz, I do get a little excited.

You'd really blow your crotch seam if you had some LED tails.

I know...Just can't bring myself to spend the money on this car. All I could justify is a giant RSB (that doesn't exist), sprangz, and lightweight 17" ramz. Even then, I'll probably just get an ATS before I even have the opportunity.

Neuspeed does makes a 28mm RSB, btw.

Holy ballz when did that happen?!?! Can't tell if it's solid or hollow, or if the bushings are teflon lined or not...guess beggars can't be choosers. The price is steep, but I want it. Time to watch for sales on Neuspeed shit.

I noticed it a few months ago.

It's hollow, like their 25mm that I currently run. I've also never experienced any squeaking issues.
