There have already been a few vent comments

Petrol... I dunno, I'm more of a Ford man. Always wanted a 'Stang as a kid. And the current Camaro :barf: I've driven the SS and hated it. I really didn't like it at all.

I'm with the Robot. This thing looks great, fast, a little lighter. The question is, what engine do I go with?

The interior is fine. It's not something I'd fap to, but I'm not really that into interiors anyway. I just want good seats and something that isn't super hideous.

That's kind of what I'm thinking. I've had all four cylinder cars other than my V6 Taurus with 240k miles that was my first car

The turbo four will be better in some ways but this is probably my last chance at a V8. Thanks Obama.

Once again bs rumors on weight loss...
Carry over engines...
Lackluster interior...
Similar looking exterior...
Exactly as expected:laugh:

Maybe if we're lucky it will actually lose some weight so there isn't an MQB-style letdown.

The next Camaro will be completely different from the existing one (like for reals, not fake rumor let-down shit). the Alpha platform is leaps and bounds better than the current Zeta and anything Ford manages to crap out. Just wait and see.

Well the initial claim was 400lbs...
Given the engine specs and general size of car I wouldn't expect much of anything

Maybe chassis weight reduction + 2.3T will equal the max amount of weight loss. But 400lbs will not be seen on a V8 version.

Or even the 4-banger version. Given its physical size, I'd find it hard to believe there's much of a weight savings outside of the engine. This thing is still a big car.

A 2.3t won't be lighter than the v6. Thanks to intercooler and all the other turbo crap

Multi link will provide a nice size of that plus the 2.3. I would say from that alone you're looking at 150lbs. Where 250 extra pounds comes from...it would have to be in the body. Which CAN be done. We dropped 254lbs off the MDX off the frame alone, not accounting for engine and other bits.

That all without using Aluminum.
