Ok, my engine is getting close to being finished. The cylinder head will be finished today and should have it back later on today. Once that is back, they can start putting everything back together again with the performance parts and then proceed with the break-in procedure we got from Mahle.

You'd have to machine the main cap to add another bearing. I don't know enough about motor building to say if you could do this without needing to have the engine there or if you could ship the cap and bearings and have them precisely machine so they mate and ship back.

I'll look into it but as you said, there's no proof that it works.

I know of a few people who have had it done, but agreed, who knows if it actually prevents anything

Hol up, wtf are we talking about again? Are we talking about adding an additional bearing to the rotating assembly, or replacing the oem thrust bearing with something else?
