Once you get the scope in there it kinda looks like a NASA picture in the solar system.

Nope, none whatsoever. My car idles perfect, purrs like a kitten, and drives without any issues.

Out of curiosity what are you being charged to rebuild the motor? Not too keen on doing this but you all have me tossing the idea around now.

You kinda signed up for it when you installed the Vortex

4 has a fair amount of detonation but 1 looks like it has a lot of blowby.

Wouldn’t there be other indicators of this? Smoke, etc

It will happen under boost at speed. Not enough that he will see heavy smoke.

I’m about to swap plugs, I will compression test again and scope while I’m at it. Let’s see how much borrowed time I have remaining

Honestly, it's not going to be as much as what everyone else has been paying because my mechanic always gives me a big discount. Since I already have all the parts for the build, I figure the labor will be around $3K - $3500.

No, not a meltdown, just a lot of blowby. A piston meltdown will look like acid was poured on it.
