JB4 missing OBD2 cable, still run as JB1?

Bought a used JB4 off of Facebook Market place and the guy did not include the OBD2 cable with it, from what I've read online, I can still technically run this as just as a JB1?

Or does it not work that way? I'm going to place an order for the OBD2 cable but wanted to know if I could still install this as a JB1 without tapping into my AFR wire or needing the OBD2 cable?

If it has any recent software running the JB4 with OBD2 unplugged will put it in map 0 pass through

Haven't installed yet, so I don't know. Is the only way to tell is to install it and run the app to check?

Just buy the cable or sell it again and get the JB1.

Map 1 and change fuel bias values to 0. It becomes a jb1. I did it until my afr harness got delivered.
