Downpipe, intake, exhaust, front mount intercooler. Full Bolton’s basically. About to slap a hybrid on there too just to see what happens, lol. I know the clutch won’t hold that so it will get dialed down quite a bit for the first month I’m sure.

well damn! That sounds like a good time

So I just installed my JB4 and I’m on map 1 and well this car is faster then my JHM stage 2+ K04 B7 A4 all I gotta say is why this thing pulls like a freight train I’ll need to get use to this power. My clutch is holding up fine I’ll make sure I’m not launching it or doing anything stupid.

So I was in the app on the JB4 and I went to firmware upgrade but it just takes me to a white page how do we do an update to the firmware? Or know that we are on the correct firmware

Here are a few corrections and accordingly the late rise in ign1 but the road was a bit bumpy. Otherwise I never see such corrections.

Looks good but keep an eye on trims, maybe set FOL to 55.

After reading most of the posts from the beginning I have gained much knowledge. I am about a year out on the posts but feel that I have dialed in the JB4 to my car. It feels great and I am pleased with it. Yet some questions persist.

I have read many times about posters showing their dyno times or their 1/4 mile times. Yes many will take it to the track but truly how many of us, myself included, will drive the car to these limits? Honestly, the only time I have hit WOT in the last 6 months is to pull a log. I love the feel of the boost at these speeds but again when is this a regular condition?

What I am curious about is if anyone has considered creating a "everyday boost map"? What I mean is I drive my car to work and around town looking for some fun routes but nothing like the track. I want the extra boost for these everyday situations.

I logged this as I was merging from an on ramp.

I liked the power at that time. Could I get more if I concentrated on the low end or not WOT settings?

Here is another pull as I was on the highway and wanted to pass.

I see good numbers but again no WOT.

For those of us that dont hit WOT, EVER ,would a low end boost MAP be a better project?
What are anyones thoughts?

Thanks
Pat

What kind of numbers are you guys running with 91 octane and E30 in the tank? On map 6 I would like to start making my own little e30 file

Better to post logs for others to give recommendations - till you learn to read them well before you start trying to mess with map6 settings

So map 1 on 91 I’m safe right? I shouldn’t need to log?

For the e30 I need to do a log with map 2 correct? And then move the settings over to map 6 and make the small changes? Still learning.

As a person that's played with this, I'm not sure it's worth it. The factory boost curve is already biased towards low end power. Consider keeping your current maps 6 that you're happy with, and adding some sort a pedal tuner like BMS sells.
