Do you have a Map 3 log by chance?

I'll run one. It's been a while. With temps here all over the place (it was 34 degrees yesterday morning, and it's going to touch 80 today), I don't want to be in a situation where I'm chasing Map 6 every week.

I dialed things back a bit this morning and logged it. Temps were cooler than the last log. I see a little bit of pull in ign_4 but trims under 40 across the band. The car feels neutered a bit. Smoother but not as much fun.

shovelhd- That one is much better due to lower temps and not making so much extra boost heat. Its amazing what just even .5 psi change in boost can make when these things are on the edge with JB4.

And if you don't want to be chasing Map 6 all the time, Map 3 is as close to a set and forget as you will find. Add some E and watch out .

your going real lean in 4th, also there are some corrections in 4th, 3rd looks ok

Edit: going in the direction but pretty much out of fuel in bad lands

Your stripper is too fat in the middle. Get rid of 4 kids. Map 3 with E is gonna make dem pimps $$$$.

Datazap uber alles, have to know what the ecu wants and turn off TC so that is not interfering, but not liking that hard ign_1 drop.

did some pulls today, all look the same, no more knock on ign2-5.

Could you report what George says about this as well? Thanks in advance. To me this looks like the limit at your conditions but not too much. No headroom for heat etc but viable. I'm still learning here so as much a question as anything else. I have a 1.8 which runs more timing so it may not relate across platforms.

He told me that the log looks fine to him that to change the FOL to 55 and Boost Safety to 26 and provide him with more logs.

Still pulling timing after 5K. 7psi is too much right now. I even believe Map 3 is a bit much. Would like to see a Map 2 log or two. And if your still running ethanol (which I hope you are) at least take FOL up if you don't do anything else.

I adjusted the FOL to 55 and Boost safety to 26 as per George’s suggestion. I need to provide him with more logs. My buttdyno says the car runs better now. LOL but ill get more logs and share w u. I am running an e85 mix about 3.5 gallons mixed into a full tank of 91 octane(we r at 6k elevation) so i should def be at e30 levels. Ill log u a back to back 3rd gear pull today of both my map 6 with the corrected settings that George sent me(fol 55 and boost safety 26) and the map 2 3rd gear pull logs its ab 81f today so should still be hot enough to show any danger stuff

I believe Map 4 is same peak boost add as 3 is (+6 psi) but taper is tailored more for the newer 7-spd DSG boxes. Refresh memory of an old man, do you have an intercooler upgrade? If so, E30 and Map 3 all day long.

Boost is falling flat on its face, and the car looses power in high revs. Coming off the pedal and back on restores boost back to normal. JB4 isnt throwing me into a security map. Not getting any CEL or anything. FOL is set to 60. boost safety 26 map is additive with values listed below. Could someone explain to me whats going on

To make e30 you really need about 3.5 gallons of e85

what mods do you have on the car?
