Map 3 on my S3 with 93 oct. Mods: downpipe, intercooler

I thought map 3 was supposed to be a map 2+ peaking at 25 psi? This stopped at 21 and had some corrections. I think map 2 feels much faster. A new gas station opened up on my way to work and I'm not 100% sure I'll fill up there. Previous logs of map 2 showed no corrections.

Then run map2.

It's too bad the load function got disabled otherwise you could see it is less potent then map2 until like 6k. Stick with additive maps and you'll be much happier. If you want to run a more potent map then 2 make your own on map6.

Thanks, I had it back on map 2 already.

I was just hoping to have a quick set map for when I want to go faster than map 2. I don't have a ton of places to log in the city so building a map 6 from scratch would be a pain.

I was told to run FOL of 60 on the GTI with an e30 blend. How are you guys running 40 and 45?? My fuel trims are in 40-50 range.

On a side note I just ran 13.5 @ 108.5mph last night. About 55F outside.

Diggs or George care to give your thoughts about this thread.

I haven't installed my JB4 yet but curious if there is any concern?

Installed mine last week on a PP ‘17 GTI and idle is smooth as ever. I haven’t seen much in my research about idle issues with JB4 so I imagine that person is having other hardware issues (plugs, coils, fuel, etc). Just my 2 cents.

Hi Everyone,

New user with a 2018 Audi A4. Basically a GTI motor. I am stock besides a JB4 and running an E30 blend with crap California gas.

Diggs, can you take a look at some logs and give me your thoughts?

https://datazap.me/u/antsh/e30-fast-short-pull?log=0&data=1-4

https://datazap.me/u/antsh/e30-fast-long-4th?log=0&data=1-4

One is a quick pull in 4th, the other is a longer pull up a pretty good grade, also in 4th.

Thanks!

Looks good. Maybe a touch too aggressive on the low end.

Anything in the logs that shows it being too aggressive, or is it just experience on your end?

Does that mean you'd be able to develop an app that would talk to the JB4 unit? Would you be able to do map switching etc? Maybe start a new thread for this because this could get popular and would get lost in the other stuff in this thread.

If I would add JB4 support to my Android Auto Performance Monitor app, what data elements would you guys like to see?

No map switching, just reading out data that the JB4 app can show on your phone, and displaying it in a nice way on the infotainment screen. See my signature for my app which handles internal exlap data and torque app data.
