Had a productive day with the TT though. Changed the plugs. While more unnecessary than normal even (since I'll probably never have to change the plugs again), I put in a coil ground kit I had from SCSkW.

Downpipe is getting a nice patina on it.

Then, it started with giving the TT a usual wintertime ONR sponge bath.

That then turned into claying the TT...

That then turned into busting out the DA and polushing the TT...

I don't have much before\after, asides from this

I was able to take care of a bunch of scratches like that. Finished product:

Exhaust gets delivered next Tuesday. From there, it's pretty much "done".

As far as the wrap goes, it's still planning on going full steam ahead. Once I can nail down a color (but let's be honest, it's going to be the gloss orange), I'll probably order a 10' roll. While ordering a 10' roll then a 60' roll would end up being more expensive in the end, I'd rather buy a smaller roller, and like try wrapping a fender, which is supposedly the easiest panel, to see if I can. That way I don't buy $800 of vinyl, decided I can't do it, and then have useless vinyl

Oh yeah. I was peer pressured in pedochat to order some Zhong Zhong hex led lights. Only $130 for 17' x 8' array. So we'll see how that is when it comes in.

I am loving the Uni tune on the car. Especially the DSG tune. It makes it so much more enjoyable to drive. Been reaching for the TT keys more over the R keys the last few days. It's going to be even better once I get the stock cat-back on. That should be delivered tomorrow. All it does is make me really want a TTRS. If I didn't buy the 8.5 R and was still in the 8 R, chances I'd be shopping for one. But, the TT will have to do for now.

I went out and bought a new polusher. I had the cheap Bauer random orbital dual action, I grabbed the $120 Hercules forced motion dual action one from HF. I did a pass on the TT with a water spot remover, since even after my polush job last week, there were still etched in water spots.

Hard to take a pic of. But now, they're mostly gone. I grabbed a thing of Ibis White touch up paint to take care of some chips.

Requested a vanity plate for the TT. Told my wife I was going to get ILUVTTS, and she just rolled her eyes. Settled on "ZOOOOOZ". No snappy hidden meaning. Just something a buddy and I saw on a plate once on a road trip, that we somehow found so funny we were in tears laughing for 15 minutes. A "You had to be there" kinda thing. But perfect for a 2nd car.

So somehow, in 7,500 miles, I've managed to pretty much obliterate the bottom of my steering wheel in the R with scuffs and scratches. I was about to buy a used one from a 2024 off FB Marketplace for $130 in mint condition, but then thought.... You know what? So, Christmas present to myself is a Zhong Zhong carbon fiber steering wheel. Matte black carbon fiber top\bottom so it matches the 'carbon fiber' trim in the dash. No 12 o'clock stripe. Perforated leather sides. Blue stitching. Standard cf wheel shape. Retaining heating and driver assist sensors. $408 + shipping and fees.

Aight. Got the stock exhaust on the TT. Sounds MUCH better. Actually bearable and enjoyable now. Maybe I'll make the TT my daily, and the R the garage queen
