It's coming! Cobb VW

The only thing I like about Cobb getting into VWs is the added competition in the tuning market usually means better prices/products for us consumers. A little competition never hurt right?

I never understand when people say Cobb ots tunes suck/blow/ect. What do you think a tune from APR, Unitronic, ED, HPA, UM is? They're all ots, to work on a wide array of vehicles with varying levels of mileage and condition different levels of Maintenance Etc none of them are custom tunes. When Cobb does come out with support for the mk7 I seriously doubt they'll make any less power than any of the other aforementioned flash tuners.

Have u ever driven a cobb ots tuned vehicle before? Compare the ford platforms between cobb ots and Livernois ots.

I think most are only familiar with the fact that on a few platforms the OTS tunes were very conservative; particularly Subaru's to protect the rings(known to crack on the stock tune even).

With the advancements of newer ECUs the tunes will likely show much higher safe power, most likely the same as the other flash tunes on the market. Just look at what they are achieving on Porsche platforms. The real difference is all the extras you get for basically the same price.

Not sure if GTIJeff is just trolling, should be banned regardless.

I've been around a lot of friends with Cobb tuned cars over the years. All I can say is I wouldn't touch their junk with a ten-foot pole.

There are many great flash tuners that already know VW very well, and have proven track records.

Cobb tunes do indeed "suck/blow/ect."

Agree 100%. Unless they take the same car as uni and the others per day. Their tunes will never be good in my books.

You do fucking realize all the things I listed were confirmed by Cobb reps and/or have been on their official website... They posted the official dynos numbers about a week ago on accident and we were able to see them. This is not speculation, the tuners are already receiving their AP's to sell. Now if you don't have something positive to say, then fuck off. This is a place for the community to learn and we don't need people like you.

In my experience with the BMW Cobb AP, their maps weren't too short on power. They were actually making excellent power on pump gas. Before the AP, piggybacks were the only mainstream tuning solution on that platform.

Also let it be clear that you understand tuners like for instance BDtuning literally have the Accessport in their hands now right? This is not speculation, tuners physically have them in their hands as we speak. Pretty sure they know what we be included...
