No matter how insensitive he is, he's still constitutionally correct.
No. He's really not.

I think women have more opportunity to do whatever they want with their lives in the US today than they have in human history. Even with unprecedented opportunity at their fingertips, some still choose to be objectified. So who's heads are in the sand? What? You don't think there is none?
Face it, as a society we do objectify women, we're all guilty of it, myself included. If there wasn't then #YesAllWomen wouldn't be the most trending item in the world currently.
A little fucking introspection doesn't hurt anybody. Jesus Christ, talk about burying your head in the sand.
And as for guns, he didn't feel like an "alpha male" with a car and a knife. If you read his manifesto, he cited the instance of having a gun in his hands as as if he had developed a taste for power. To an extent, gun culture is a problem.
Culture of misogyny?
Well, if we outlaw guns because of this guy, then we should outlaw cars and knives too, right? I mean, right? He did use all 3 methods in his spree.

If they have more opportunity, explain the following:
Explain how in this day and age, women STILL can't walk the streets by their lonesome at night without being at risk of sexual assault. For those who work unusual shifts and have to leave at night, they often have to ask their male co-workers to walk with them as a safety precaution.
Explain how women like Sandra Fluke are still to this day targeted by right-wing nutjobs who eschew their machoness and still refer to her as a "slut" and a "whore" ever since that day she decided to argue on the importance of birth control in medical insurance plans.
Explain how rape jokes are still tolerated and when women express their outrage they are told to stop being so uptight.
Explain how even in 2014 the pay scales between males and females still have a long ways to go.
Explain how, even in America, rape victims are told it is their fault for getting raped due to how they dressed at that time. Such attitudes were rampant during the infamous Steubenville rape case.
And lastly, explain how there is no misogyny when gun toting nutjobs such as the Open Carry Texas wackos intimidate and threaten women who disagree with their philosophy. They refer to women who support any type of gun reform as "thugs with jugs" for crying out loud.
When women work like men, they can be paid like men.Explain how even in 2014 the pay scales between males and females still have a long ways to go.
People are dead and yet these bozos are more concerned about their gun rights than the families of those affected. Unbelievable![]()
^Says the guy that is going off about anything but what the family is going through. That's a hypocrite at it's finest.
This thread is about a mass shooting and you're talking about women being raped, harassed, etc.
Given how much hatred the shooter had for women, I think it is a valid point to address how misogyny had played a role in his warped worldview.
The shooter hated women, make no mistake about it. His manifesto, his videos, his posts on forums, all point to his hatred of women as the main excuse for his disgusting actions.
His first target was the "hottest sorority of UCSB", so if that doesn't demonstrate his hatred of women given his targets, don't know what else will in your mind.
QUESTION - Are there any morons in this thread with enough balls to admit banning guns would solve the problem?
How would banning guns solve the problem . . . Prohibition?
He hated women. He stated it several times. I know this. Not sure where you're going with this.
That wasn't my question. If you want to use Prohibition as an example, sure. Ban alcohol, people will and can still get a hold of it. Same goes for marijuana. Ban guns, it doesn't make a difference because 1/3 of the felons that have them don't have them registered, are stolen, etc.
