This is my first VAG car and I am extremely thrilled that I went down this path. I was looking for a daily driver such that I could limit the amount of KMs that were going on my E92 M3. I want to keep my glorious V8 M3 in mint condition as it will one day be a collector's item.

I did a lot of test driving and searching, my criteria was as follows:
  • Must Have Dual Clutch or Equivalent Transmission
  • Must be AWD or FWD
  • Must be Light
  • Must have solid fuel economy
  • Must be a turbo car
  • Must be under $40,000 CDN
I narrowed down my choices to A3 and GTI. GTI was hands down the better drivers car and a hell of a lot more fun than the Audi. I fully optioned out my vehicle and selected pearl black, leather and the technology package. I have a significant modification addiction and some solid history modifying several BMWs including a 2009 135i that ran the 1/4 mile in 11.5s @ 123mph. Drag racing video of the car here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UOh-WwIlrmk

I will be documenting all of my modifications including conducting a baseline dyno and follow up dynos with any perceived power modification that is added to the vehicle. I will also be capturing videos throughout the exhaust modification process to show the sounds and whatever hardware I bolt up to the car.

Plans are as follows:
  • Tune
  • Downpipe
  • Intake (debating the value of this)
  • Springs
  • FMIC
  • Michelin Pilot Super Sports or NITTO NT05
  • Neuspeed Rims
Stay tuned as I progress through my build. Following is a pic of the car, first modification was fulll 30 tints all around.

Great job! The car looks awesome. The eurodyne tune stage 2 torque really flattens out nice. I am thinking of going with eurodyne due to the self flashing ability. Nice to know the testing came out well. Any other comments on how the car feels stage 2 from the butt dyno?

Clean car man, props on getting over 300hp already. I cant wait to get Stage 1 on my R. Should be in that range.

I will tell you that light weight rims and proper rubber really make this car. I loved the power of stage 2 but the car was clumsy. Now it's nimble and feels much more planted as I am able to put the power down to the ground. I am very happy with my choice of mods. If I don't trade up to an R, next up for me will be Meth.

Yep, very nice. You should easily be in the 340whp range stage 2 in the R. I am having an internal struggle now of just moving to an R as well. We shall see.
