FYI the contact photos in iOS 11 now sync with MIB2. I am running the public beta and they appear when people call. Just re-add your favorites and they will display there too.

Very interesting. Any chance album art gets transferred over BT as well?

I dunno.. but why use BT for music anyways, when you have USB and SD card? Bluetooth is compressing your music (on top of whatever compression it may have been created with in the first place), you have no Coverflow ability to scan your library, and it's just inferior in every way. Move your iTunes library to SD card or a USB stick, it's a far better solution.

I did a writeup a while back on how to do it...

Better in terms of sound quality, but inferior in terms of convenience; especially for those that have built up a library of streaming music.

I would gladly bet anyone a significant amount of cash who thinks they could properly tell the difference, in an actual abx test setup, between Bluetooth serving a compressed audio file vs an sd/USB that has lossless high bitrate/high samplerate golden master source version as you drive down the street.

I appreciate you taking the time to post your instructions in that thread for people who want that. But it's not exactly what I would call simple nor is it free (have to buy the export program). Way easier to me to use steering wheel buttons to control audio.

Hope this isn't the case with android auto. Don't need a great set of knockers or a spectacular hiney poppin up when i have people in the car lol
