Blade3562 Thanks for all the info! I am still on the fence on what I would do. I was leaning more towards the GTI because the TSi bend underneath the rear multilink seems to be fairly low and I tend to cram 3-5 people plus their junk so the car gets fairly low. I just didn't want to get one and then bend it a few months later.

And Josh, since the exhausts are made to order (I think it was mentioned somewhere on here) would I be able to comment in a special coupler to temporarily attach my stock downpipe to a GTI exhaust? But if there isn't any real difference in ground clearance under the rear multilink I might just get the TSi one just so I don't have to mess with anything else but the exhaust.

Am I the only one that thinks this car doesn't sound that great? I'm coming from a mk6 2.5 and love the sound the inline 5 makes. But this 1.8tsi sounds very muted.

It does sound muted (coming from a vr6). I think the downpipe with the exhaust will cure that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XR-_PzE7lqs
