How did you find know the US market won't be receiving the 8" nav screen. I will sorely disappointed if that is the case because that is one of the reasons I am holding out for the Mk7.

As in the new Golf, the center stack—complete with massive eight-inch multifunction screen—is canted slightly toward the driver. In the interest of cost cutting, though, our GTIs will have a smaller nav screen.

Apologies Jimble if I missed something. Is the trim in the pic I have posted different to the trim in the video?

Sorry for the late reply mate, yeah that picture is the cloth only trim from the uk brochure.

Sorry mate, England is also part of Europe but we don't get the option of alcantara so thought i'd include Ireland as you do, not sure about the ROI though???
