So recently I realized I had a leak coming through underneath my rain guard. The plastic piece that drains the water into my wheel well wasnt properly secured and you could see the cabin filter pretty much. Poured water into it, bam water came through. So fixed that but during this time of figuring out the leak. I pulled up the carpets and sound deadning to dry up the water and decided since i'm getting a 2nd car for winter and converting this thing into a race car anyway to keep the sound deadning out. It was entirely soaked anyway. After doing so and driving the car, the inside gives off a chemical like smell. It seems to go away when I turn on the heat though.. The only idea I had was that the insulation was preventing not just sound but the smell of the exhaust aswell?
Any ideas guys?
Side note: my car is catless and entirely straight piped. Could also be an exhaust leak idk about?
