Wonder what cars are calling for this oil?

I haven’t seen anything around about it.

Since ‘97 afaik 502 has only included 0W-30, 0W-40, 5W-30, 5W-40. Newest chart is posted in the oil compatibility sticky and includes some 10w-40.

In Europe, semi syn 10w-40 has been 502 approved as long as I am aware. I use a lot of 10w-40 in non-turbo Euro engines. Winter is tough here in PA, so I send those same cars out on dino 5w-30 for winters. imo, 2 changes of dino oil at 5000 miles / 6 months works better than one change of "synth" at 10,000 miles / 12 months.
