INstrument surround: glare & aluminum rings...gone

Never liked the piano gloss and aluminum trim rings on speedo and tach.


Solved by removing surround & and applying a couple of coats of "black texture" plastic paint. Surround now looks like semi-matte metal texture and white/red markings easier to see, so mission accomplished for my preferences.



Obviously another personal choice but offered just in case someone has same tastes

ignition was in what I guess you call the "accessory" mode, engine not running.

Can you grab some pics in natural light without the flash?

It doens't look bad, but the flash doesn't do it any favors.



I think it would look really good if you did the rest of the trim to match.
