Yes, I know my new car has three data recorder which are 'Since Start', 'Since refuelling' and 'Long Term' .
The 'Since Start' was like my MK6 which recorded data and summed it provided the car was used for a number of times but if the car was then not used, after 2 hours the recorder would reset to zero. Well, my new car after yesterday's journeys of some 45 miles still shows that data despite not having being used overnight, i.e. the 'Since Start' window still shows yesterday's data whereas I assumed it would be zero for time, mpg etc etc. Obviously I can zero it manually each time I make a new journey after that 2 hour cut off period but it's a bit of a pain, in a way. At the moment, it's acting like an ordinary manual trip recorder without the auto zero function.
I suppose a talk to the 'experts' is in order again.
