I went to the mountain pass from Initial D today. Totally different from the anime...
If you tried to race a car on that road you would definitely die. The hairpins are 100x tighter than in the anime and it would be like a 5 mph drift. The pavement sucks and there are dips and bumps all over the place. It's so bad before the hairpins that you would probably launch your car off the cliff if you hit those bumps at speed. The incline is much more severe than it appears and it's much more narrow.
