Injectors? Hella flush.

I have DI ptsd so yes, I boroscoped all of them.

Some made in in the USA goodness. Hope the crank pulley bolt doesn't get crusty. Never want to torque that again.

Almost ready to start, just charge piping, intake, washer reservoir, serpentine belt, battery tray.. something else I'm probably forgetting. So close to getting rid of that OEM fuel line though, have everything in hand to re-do all of it with AN6.

It's running! Very smooth, as expected the noise that was coming from cyl4 on the head is gone.

did an overly thorough cam break-in (yes, it's not a flat tappet cam, but seen data suggesting break-in on a roller cam can still reduce wear). 10 minutes at 20-25% max rpm, shut off for 10 minutes to cool, repeat 2x, drain break-in oil.

gonna wire in an oil pressure sensor today, maybe start replacing the fuel lines/adding a fuel filter.

looks like i have a vacuum leak somewhere... not surprising since the entire vacuum system was apart, but real annoying. looks like i'm hunting down my smoke tester tomorrow.

all the time, no codes, probably about 3 months old. would expect a misfire/KR if it was bad gas. don't really want to add more since i've got a new LPFP/lines going in next.
vac leak assumption is because that's the most likely explanation for extra airmass entering the motor (it's under vacuum without load).

in theory there could be an exhaust leak pre-02, but it's a fresh turbo gasket. i don't think it's the HPFP, it was tested <5K miles ago and DI pressure is tracking setpoint fine. No codes for the O2 sensor/circuit. used a fresh gasket on the vac pump. i'll pull the brake booster line and plug that, see if it improves at all.

my worry is I somehow got counterfeit injectors (rockauto), I could get them flow-tested but would probably just exchange them if they're coming out.

Do you have one of these ? https://a.co/d/0dROfr7M

Pretty easy to smoke test it all
