Idk if the issue will ever be truly solved since the water pump is mounted vertically with a gasket on an engine that is known to weep a bit of oil even when new lol

Another Update, motor developed rod knock today so theres that. Got 3300 miles out of it on big turbo lol
Damn. You think it's because of your the power you were pushing to this motor or because of it being an AliExpress motor?

The motor I ordered is about to arrive in the states. Should have it in the next couple weeks.

The power I was pushing definitely had a role no doubt, but I highly suspect a clearance or quality issue in the bottom end is what killed it, I purposely kept the torque lower in the tune, shouldn’t have been a problem on an OEM engine at my torque levels. Gonna get the engine pulled and torn down, I’m suspecting a main bearing to have failed.

Engine should still be within warranty, no? Mine that I ordered from Zhongqi has a 1 year warranty.

They won't do anything.

3071R Turbo, E85, Multiport Injection, FBO

Damn, sorry that happened man. I’m curious what you will find when you tear it apart.

I’d definitely try to get some money back from them if possible, especially if you find something during the tear down. Keep us posted on how they respond to this
