Important PSA regarding improperly built TPC20 Turbos

I think most people just had a problem with the "statistics" being used.

I've got a Vortex, and I'm realistically never going to end up with a TPC kit. Got no horse in the race, but shitty stats is shitty stats.

I took his stats as an opinion from someone with a bad experience. To make it the main subject of argument is ridiculous to me. This one guy, with his one problem, with his one post got everyones feelings hurt. I'm just trying to understand why? Do people really think this post is gonna take down TPC as a company?

Naw man, see if he said "in my opinion i think TPC is shit" I'd be sayin, "cool, fair enough"


but when you say shit like "66% of TPC turbos in my 6 person population sample are bad, so 66% must be bad overall." or even saying "we can extrapolate", that's just wrong. it detracts from the message that there may be a problem with some of these turbos (but moreso with the support, or lack thereof, when the turbos fail).

People didn't understand there was a problem because they didn't want to read the 1st page and follow along and jump in. Which forced me to try to reason. You're part of the problem. No horse in the race, just sit back. Thanks.

The TPC770 turbos are advertised to be 40 psi turbos on their site.

I think i was clear the dataset was small. We went through this again and again. Why are you here again? If you take some time and scroll back, I think we agreed, we could agree to disagree on what you think is a valid dataset. Get real numbers and come back then.

I feel the message is being bought down by people concentrating on numbers vs the issue reported. Then again OP backed his % claims. I can't agree or disagree I just wanted more info on main topic, after yrs of running TPC38 OP was actually correct in my case. If it wasn't for this post, I probably wouldn't of looked into it.

But People want accurate numbers, ok that's fair.

I finally swapped my TPC38 Turbo yesterday which I've had since 2021, about 12k miles on it. This is my 2nd TPC38 Turbo the first one was replaced cause it also had Issues.

Yeah here's a link to there new Turbo Spool sound. Naa, I'm just joking. I don't know if any with the New Spec Turbo design have had issues.
