The actual intake is 379.99, which for the size, quality, and features is priced competitively. It's by far one of our most popular products. The CF lid adds a big chunk of the cost, but it's a huge piece of carbon fiber. Lid or full intake, the price to manufacture true carbon in a shape like that is the same price. If you're after the straight performance and features our intake offers -the base unit without the lid will make you very happy. The CF lid is definitely a piece that those building cars that want a specific top-shelf look are going to spring for.
