April 21st, 2020 I purchased my 2019 Oryx White VW Golf R DSG. I've owned many great cars over the years but have never taken the time to start one of these threads. Hopefully I can keep up with this and have something cool to look back on.

First day and first photos of the car. In need of tint badly!

On April 22nd I had the windows tinted 20% all around with a 5% strip on top of the windshield. Tint changed the look of the car drastically! It tied together all of the black accents, to include the factory black Pretoria wheels. I normally dislike black wheels, and while I'm currently looking to replace them, for now, they're not bad for stock
April 26th I decided I wanted a bit more power. A local guy was selling a JB4 so I grabbed it and installed it with his help.
On May 4th I pulled off the JB4 and decided to go with a Cobb Accessport and a stage 2 tune from EQT. While waiting on the downpipe to arrive, I flashed my car with the OTS Cobb stage 1 file (which I've heard terrible things about) and the Cobb Sport TCU file. The TCU made a world of difference! The OTS stage 1 feels similar to the JB4 on map 2, just much smoother.
I also installed some cheap paddle shifter replacements. I normally don't support purchasing cheap mods, but I decided to give these a shot per recommendation from The Humble Mechanic on YouTube. The install was a breeze and these are a nice, subtle upgrade from the stock paddles which I find far too small.
The Armytrix downpipe came in that I purchased from a member of the forums. It was a bit of a hassle to find a shop that was willing to install it, being catless, but I ended up finding a shop for the job.
Sound: I'm running the stock exhaust with this downpipe. The OEM muffler is the only thing quieting this thing down and after a week or so, it's too loud for my liking. I'm currently trying to decide if I want to go with a Vibrant resonator or a cat which could also combat that smell the car is putting off.
I decided to go with EMD springs. I'm getting these installed today, May 16th.
I picked up 4 of these double walled 4in tips for my R. Since I'm keeping my stock exhaust, I want to swap out those oval tips. I'm not a fan of them at all, so I picked these up for ~$100 for the set.
