How to tell if the car I bought is tuned?

The built In performance monitor of the dash shows boost. How much would it run stock? I know my mk5 ran at 12 pounds and I think the new one hit like 12 or 14 on a pull.

Eh, the built in monitor is somewhat unreliable, since it doesn't account for atmospheric pressure and all that science. If you subtract about 14 or 15 from what it tells you, It's a little more accurate.

Someone tell me if I'm wrong, but I believe my GTI ran at around 19-20 psi max without a tune. Anything above that, especially the 23+ range is a definite yes.

Stock is 18psi when cold out to touching 20 sometimes when hot out. 19 is pretty typical.
