Just a quick Thank You to Dave, and also this thread is still relevant.

Worked perfectly on a US Jetta R-Line 1.4t

Couple of quick notes - when searching the original caliper bracket numbers i came up with unavailable on most sites but some list "replaced by" -

I ended up just ordering everything for the front of a 2019 Golf Alltrack SE. (I did not want red brackets.)

This car did have 57mm calipers and code 1ZP

The 16" spare (which is a wheel from a earlier Golf) still fits as previously reported.

Does anyone happen to have pictures of the 288 and 312 caliper carriers side-by-side? Since brand new carriers are over $200 a piece now, I thought I might save a few hundred by buying used carriers. Since the same calipers are used on both 288 and 312, it's hard to sort out which carriers are which sometimes.

Sorry I don't. The 312mm have the curve in them like the 288mm carriers, but the back arms are longer. Also you may find that one side is more expensive. You don't actually need to buy a "side" as there is no difference in the brackets, only that the pins are installed top & bottom. The pins can be swapped around, & its best to not use the pin with the rubber bush on it & get another set of plain solid pins!
