HI Castiel,

Yes, correct as you listed. Load version 3.0 onto the SD card and proceed. I don't think the ignition will shut-off during the update I wouldn't worry about that. The activator might also unlock more features than just Android Auto. Good luck!

Hi!
Thank you the answer!
One more question what is not clear for me.
In common folder there is two dummy files (VCRN and VIN)
Just let them in this form, or should I change them to txt with my VCRN and VIN datas?! If yes, then just the file name should be changed or it must conatin the datas too?!

Thanks a lot!

I would leave them as is. I didn't touch mine and it all worked out.

Hi.

I have launched the Congo and Duke patch on the unit
3Q0035819B
SW Train MST2_EU_VW_P0628D

Unfortunately I do not see the App-Connect option in the MENU. What additional steps do I need to take to launch Android auto on this unit?

Hi!

Have you checked which functions are available?
Menu button long push --> Function enabling codes--> supported FECs and installed FECs menues.
You should check the codes, use google, "FEC/SWAP codes lists" or something simillar. If you identified your codes and there is no android auto among them then your MIB does not support the function.
If it supports then sorry I do not have more power in this topic :D
I have done it last week and worked well ( not the sam train code)

Okay, trying to do this on my 2015 R. Current firmware is MST2_US_VW_P0504D

I tried running the congo and duke activator, put it all on a 64gb SD formatted to FAT32. Went through the update and followed congo and duke write up, component protection is still active. All FEC codes seemed to work as I have apple car play, sport monitor, think blue, etc. Just still in component protection

Update. I’ve figured out that I need to run the Congo and duke activator first, then I need to run a patch to remove CP.

Here’s my issue. I add the Delphi.sh file to my SD card along with the appropriate delphibin patch for my software train. So the only things on my SD card are the

Delphi.sh
delphibin.ifs
Test.txt

Once I put the sd card in after writing the patch files to it I reboot the radio and nothing happens? From what I understand the activator is supposed to run these patches automatically? Or is there something else I should be doing.
