How Does a Lambda Sensor Work in a Common Rail Diesel

Due to how they work, I'm not a fan.

My objection is against tuning boxes in general. OK they are not as crude as they once where.

But increasing the fuel pressure when OEM is around 2000 bars of pressure. That is bonkers, without increasing it.

The boxes do work.

I can find no complaints of people saying the power has dropped off either? Is this fact or heresay...????

I find it hard to believe it's fact given the originators level of technical knowledge regarding Lambda & it's inputs.

Rappy- Fine, you don't like them. You prefer your remap. No issue with that. Only your allegation that power will reduce etc. Where is the evidence to suggest this occurs/will occur on our cars???? It's all 'theory' & no real world evidence......you can't just blanket quote an internet page.

Why aren't there hoards of owners kicking off about these boxes if your idea is correct?

Good article, then its settled as AFR is not that important.

A diesel box should not loose power over time then, there is nothing that does that in the system.

BTW I just ordered a VCDS...
