$4200 with a G series that’s bolt on ready to go?

Just the turbo alone is $2500ish, so all the hardware nickel and dime stuff and lots of R&D to make sure it all works I don’t feel like they owe us anything at that pricing.

People question quality stuff because it’s expensive, but then in the same breathe buy a bunch of junk that was made in China and sold to them at 1000% mark up and never bat an eye till it fails and they complain it didn’t hold up or work as advertised. Not calling you out specifically on this, just the masses in general lol
I accidentally lied I texted him and its and gtx turbo, not a g series

GTX is the gen2 garrett. GT was the gen1. The new GXX series is completely new from the ground up.
Thanks! I was beginning to research it but I wasn't sure if GTX was even a Garrett turbo or just some other acronym getting tossed around by those in the know.

You drive it last night?

It's been run, but not driven yet. No leaks (besides one from a fuel line fitting that I didn't touch the entire time the car was apart, lol) abnormal noises, or lights on the dash besides the usual after the battery is disconnected...and it insists it's due for an oil change lol.

Fingers crossed, looks like everything is good to go.

My only known mistake was forgetting the damn divider plates that sit in the intake ports. A friend put them in a box on the back of my bench, and it never crossed my mind when I was putting the manifold on. I've talked to a couple people who intentionally run without them and they say there is no change in drivability, but there has to be some increase in airflow and a better spray pattern from the MPI injectors. I'm going to run it as is, any drivability issue and the manifold will have to come back off to install those.

Should be driving it tonight!

Meh, i put mine back in. I wasn't convinced that it was better or not needed with it being out.

Did you run it with them out?

I planned on putting mine back in also lol

Nope, i thought the one person who said their injectors were spraing all over the metal divider and causing issues, actually had wrong or bad injectors from cts with a bad spray pattern and that was ultimately the cause. My memory is not the best, but thats how i remember it :).

I'm going to run it without the plates. If it has any issues I'll pull it apart and put the plates back in, this is a combination of science and laziness lol
