This is why you pay more for a quality adapter.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t that adapter listed only for the G series turbo?

Tial hot side housing could just as likely be the issue.

Also, they could’ve taken material off the male lip on the adapter a lot easier than machining the female groove deeper on the turbine housing.

Also curious is that an Iroz kit he’s installing, or just piecing his own together? I’m curious what Iroz provides for an adapter or is that what you’re recommending as the better solution?

Yeah the Turbo total flange must be direct fit for the G series to sell it as such, looks like he is making a custom kit since both IMS and RPC kits comes with 02 bungs welded on the turbine housing.

RPCs kits comes with Elmer racing billet adapter, not so sure I would want a weld on the adapter like it is on the Iroz kit.

I'm sure there's a few somethings in the works that will get you damned close on a hybrid frame.
What are you hinting at here??

If I was hunting big power and reliability I’d start here:

I still haven’t seen one complete, but I’ve seen a few people working on utilizing the new G series
Pagparts makes a kit basically like this but it costs 4200$. Its a shame because this kit can be made for a little over half of that bit trying to get the wastegate to work would be the biggest nightmare, along with the DV since that is a part of our ecus boost strategy I guess you can put a BOV in a custom made charge pipe but doing that along with figuring out the angle for the wastegate sounds like a big EPC light festival.

So super quick because I'm buried at work right now.

The car is fully assembled but hasn't been run yet because I had some parts problems with an intercooler and an axle. It will be run and driven tonight, brief break in (no 1000 mile bullshit) and then I'll put the sauce to it.

I still need to update this thread with, valvetrain and timing.

$4200 with a G series that’s bolt on ready to go?

Just the turbo alone is $2500ish, so all the hardware nickel and dime stuff and lots of R&D to make sure it all works I don’t feel like they owe us anything at that pricing.

People question quality stuff because it’s expensive, but then in the same breathe buy a bunch of junk that was made in China and sold to them at 1000% mark up and never bat an eye till it fails and they complain it didn’t hold up or work as advertised. Not calling you out specifically on this, just the masses in general lol

Agree, I think it's a very competitive price.

You're getting a ton of R&D, not just a turbo. Most of the time was spent making the twin scroll housing cooperate with the factory wastegate control, which is no small task.

Totally agree. I prefer to pay the top dollar for a quality part knowing that it will hold up to the abuse and last versus some Chinese knock off.
