Hey guys!! I recently bought a 2016 VW GTI and I'm loving it. Cant complain to be honest.
However, a few weeks ago I was almost due for my service and all of a sudden, low oil level light came on
.
After toping it up and then doing the service and oil change light is still there. I've read and tried to research on this a lot but havent found any consistent information.
Something that is worrying me it's that this sensor it's also related to the hood sensor. Right after I realized that...I went in the car, open the hood and... Voila, I don't see any indication that the hood is open as it happens with doors and trunk. So I'm kind of thinking this IS related to this sensor, cause tbh never seen the "hood red" indication when hood is open.
Do all vw GTI mk7 come with hood sensors displayed on the dash? I don't want to spend $150-200 on an oil level sensor and then find out it was just the hood sensor.
