I just got a thought: if I already have a kit that's gotten dimmer, do I need to buy an entire new kit, or should I just get new bulbs?

You sure it's the bulbs? Not necessarily bulbs, but replacement ballasts. I've had Morimoto on several cars.... Great products, but sometimes the ballasts go... I've never had an issue with the bulbs.

Most likely it's the ballast as they provide the juice to the bulbs.

Not sure at all, I'm clueless when it comes to lighting and electrical.

I guess I could get a ballast or two and test them. If it's not them, I assume I can return them.

Yeah, I'd try fresh bulbs before swapping ballasts. I like my morimotos paired with the hylux ballasts. I also swapped out to d2s instead of the d2h bulbs. More bulb selection.

Is the only difference between d2s and d2h the aft connection?

I would say 2-3 years. I got them used from a fellow forumer.

New bulbs only. But be prepared in the future to get new ballasts!!
