I wouldn't risk further damage.
I think the damage is already done, if he ran the car, then restarted and it automatically shut off, no?I wouldn't risk further damage.
Probably but the damage is unknown and could get more costly.I think the damage is already done, if he ran the car, then restarted and it automatically shut off, no?
You can disconnect the dp from the turbo and force it aside a bit to see the turbine wheel, no need to remove the entire thing.I'm going to take the DP off this weekend, I turned the car on for a few seconds I did a datalog if that helps, and also there was 3 codes when I scanned it.

Same codes I had when I broke a plug. You have one or two deactivated cylinders due to misfires. Since you ran the engine and definitely had the tip disappear somewhere, I'd get a leakdown test and be prepared for at least a teardown/inspection.I'm going to take the DP off this weekend, I turned the car on for a few seconds I did a datalog if that helps, and also there was 3 codes when I scanned it.

It's all going to depend on the damage to that piston.I know, it's awful, seems like I'm going for a teardown this weekend after checking turbo blades first, is there something I should upgrade or get done while im at it besides cleaning carbon build up? Also this is my first time taking it apart, do I need any special tools?
