Hi Guys, I am pulling my hair out, I am renewing my car mk7 golf 2019 1.6tdi, and there is a question. DOES YOU CAR HAVE A THATCHAM ALARM/ IMMOBILSER FITTED?
*According to my local vw dealership, NO ONLY ALARM BY VW.
*According to the Internet most cars fitted with Alarm/IMMOBILSER after 1999.
* According to the car Manual, ALARM only.
*According to you tube, as my car fob has a immobilser chip fitted within it, the car DOES have both
I am confused please Help, thankyou for your time

What is the trim spec?..& is it a hatch or estate?....& when in 2019 was is first registered??....

From Thatchams list of approved Category 1 Alarm/Immobiliser (Original Equipment Systems)...Your insurer should have access to this document & their computer systems should be "automatic"....Link to the document...look at page 25...

Thanks for the response, I have finally had a reply from vw dealership, it has an alarm, and a key coded immobilser fitted and according to the Internet, all vw alarm/immobilser systems are Thatcham approved ? much appreciated the replies I received
