The HID headlights. I see that there are turn signal lights below the red stripe. I understand that the headlights are bi-xenon, meaning that the low beams and high beams are the same bulb. What are the bulbs closer to the center? Are those also turn signals?

Static cornering lights. The corresponding side turns on once the steering is turned past a certain point, or below 25 mph when a turn signal is on. They shine at an angle and help illuminate corners, turns, curbs, etc. Both turn on when in reverse for extra visibility as well.

They do not turn on if your fog lights are on though do remember that, only turn on if just your headlights are on.

Well that's ok, because people only use fog lights when it's foggy don't they?

I use mine every time I drive (at night that is [emoji6])

Why? These lights are blinding for other drivers. In the UK it is illegal to drive with fog lights on unless visibility is less than 100m.

That's what I thought, and I know its certainly the case for the rear fog lights as they are at more of an eye level, plus people can mistake them for brake lights. I've always wondered about fronts. They are low to the ground and i've never been dazzled by them. I don't use mine unless it's foggy but I did wonder. Plus, if they are dazzling to other drivers and should only be used in fog, then is having them as cornering lights safe/legal (in UK)? Not arguing, just wondering.

My dedicated static cornering lights work with the fogs & headlights on.

Perhaps NA spec is different.

US DOT regulations do not allow more than 4 forward-facing lights. This is why our fog lights turn off when high beams are in use. And I guess same for the cornering lights when the fogs are on.

The static cornering lights integrated it the fogs, use a different buld, so it is not the actual fogs!!
