Help identifying this engine component

Hey everyone I was recently changing out my ball joints ( unrelated ) and ran into what appears to be some seepage. I am wondering if anyone can help identify this part and or problem thank you in advance. location is right hand side of the motor near the bottom corner below the belts. Pictures below.

Some context :

Car is a GTI 2015 SE mileage just hit 40,000 owned the car three years added 23k of my own miles. Has never consumed any oil ( still hasn't ) oil change done approx. 5k ( no tune ) no smoke or drip on the driveway etcView attachment 279044

its the dip stick tube...clean it off...put some downward pressure on it make sure the tube is seated. If it bothers you a ton...buy a replacement.

yeah i’ve spilled so much oil down the side it looks like a motor murder scene. that’s nothing
100 percent possible it's being"spilled" a drop checking it and its running down the tube and collecting there OR the O ring is on totally sealing at the bottom of the tube. The hairless ape at whoever does your oil change places could be spilling it as well, it would collect at that area.

IMO...not enough to be super concerned either way, fix it by replacing the tube or o ring, unless you are starting to see drips on the ground. Give it a look/wipe off ever oil change until it starts to get worse...

I wonder if this is where mty leak is. Ran out an snagged a aluminum pan because all the shops claim plastic warps
