I bought MK7.5-style headlights from AKD ("GTI all LED" option) on Aliexpress. They're for MK7s with factory halogens. I'm stumped after testing the AKD headlights using a multimeter and DC power supply.
None of the pins appear to turn on the low beam (D2H LED bulb) nor can I tell what Pins 1, 2, 3 do.
Also confusing is that Pins 5 and 6 have 0.2 ohms of resistance between them. This was the case for both driver and passenger headlights. I confirmed the D2H and H7 bulbs that came installed function as expected when tested outside the headlights.
Any ideas on what I could be missing, or what market the AKD are wired for?
For another perspective, here's the backside of the female connector in my car:
