Damn, $65-$70 for a set of CDT adapters.. $84 shipped from the only seller on Amazon.. pricey, but they are nice. Might be a better option than buying a $30 piece of HDPE and making my own.. cuz its nice and tapered, and perfect fit.
I would de-pin the stock speaker connector, just wrap wires around it for new speaker. then i could re-pin the stock connector later when i return it to stock.
FYI I went through this post and added "helpful" posts from these now 17 pages:

The last link in that post is the $30 ABS adapters that I bought. Can't speak on how well the work, but if the CDTs are out of budget that is another option and can be optioned for 5.25" and 6.5".
Sort of related to this topic.. but there is a large volume difference between my SIRIUS/XM and my SD Card. However, I don't think one of those input adjusters will work for my SD card. I think they are "aux" and "bluetooth"... that doesnt matter anyway, as the SD card is really the perfect volume.. and when i switch to SIRIUS/XM for short periods, the volume has to be turned down. Nothing you can do about it?
I am still planning on buying a PP62 amp and some new front speakers for 2020, but I havent even started paying off my Helix yet. Yes, it went on a card, cuz i couldnt pass up $325 shipped.. (after the rebate which is on the way)
i think its just the MIB to be honest. It was the same way before.. The radio is just over boosted. the SD card is correct.I recently installed a helix and did a mib2 swap at the same time. I have noticed this and it is bugging me. I thought it was with the mib2 but maybe it’s from the helix?

So the PP62 will replace the Helix DSP/amp? or it will be combined into the system? not knowing anything about it, but looking at the Crutchfield listing, the specs are not that different than the one that comes with the Helix sub, are they?
that is pretty cool. I can indeed understand why one would want to have control of the dsp.yes the PP62 replaces the Helix amp. direct swap. the specs are the same. what you gain is complete control of the DSP. choosing your own crossover points, levels, everything. not at the top of my list though, i'd prob do my speakers first.
