Hi,
last week I picked up my Golf 7, 1.2 from the Vw authorised workshop where they swapped the old motor with 150.000 km with a nye one with 50.000.
This was because the older motor used 1 kg of motor oil every 1.000 km.
Now the motor is more noisy and with a week but very noticeable helicopter sound which wasn’t there before the swap.
The mecanichs explained this by saying that that older motor had more oil running through the ring around the pistons and therefore more silent.
I don’t really believe this explanation
Can anyone of you confirm this or have a suggestion?
Many thanks in advance from a new owner of a golf 7 1.2. 2014
