I don't know where in VCDS to find it, but I will go look. I don't know where the BCM is located in the car either.

VCDS will not tell you whether the BCM is low, mid or high. The physical pins on you BCM will tell all.

Do what I did (which I mentioned in post #20) and just photograph the pins. Study the pictures by zooming in and just down which pin #s you have and compare them to the tables of pins and their functions (which I assembled and also linked to in my post #20)

I thought I had a low BCM because I have an S, but it turns out I have the high BCM.

Your post says unplug the cables and take a picture? Where is the BCM? Under the steering wheel?

Above the left kick panel. You need to remove the hood release lever and kick panel, then the three connectors are removed and pulled down out of the way. You can then stick a cell phone into the tight space and try to snap some pics.

https://www.golfmk7.com/forums/showthread.php?t=29539

Search on how to remove the hood release. It's easy once you know how, but impossible until then.

Hmm, my BCM is a midline and vcds (17.8.1) told me that I have a midline, also I searched the part nr on google and saw it at the pins haha.

(I will try to explain it as best as possible with my form of English lol) To get the BCM out of the car. Remove the lever of the car hood (there is a clip on the back, you can get that clip out with a screw driver)

Howto Movie: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xA0uu3D4VxI

When that is done, you can click the door sill panel of, and the side of the fuse box / light switch.

Now you can remove the torx below the steering / fuse box and remove that plate. Behind the fuse box there is the BCM, unclip the two clips at the bottom then you can it bring a bit to the left (LHD) and pull it down. When it almost hits the foot rest you can pull out C, B, A plugs.

It looks harder then it is.

In VCDS you can find the SW / HW under group 09 cent electronics. Or just do an autoscan and post it.

For my car with the mid bcm, I hope that this one will fit 5Q0937084CF.
Will know it probardly tomorrow when I got the VIN of that car..

Where in your VCDS description above does it indicate Mid?

This is my OBDeleven description of my BCM:

Mention the M between MQBAB and H34.

If you lookup in to other auto scan you can see the L, H, M etc.

I've got the BCM in my car jotted down as 5Q0 937 087 Q. I am not sure what level this model number is versus what one I need. Pin 1 is definitely missing though.

Connector A, pin 1 is missing.

Ok, so that's terminal 30 power for the seat heaters. You can get that power from a dozen different fuses in the fuse box.

Do you have pins A2, A5, B40, B43, and C56? Because if you have those, then it should still work. Those are the temperature regulation and control pins for the seat heaters.

B40 present
B43 missing
C56 missing

I am looking all over for a 5Q0-937-087-N BCM from a 2015 TDI SEL

Yeah, your BCM definitely doesn't support it. You know you will have to have a VW tech remove component protection from any used one you install, right?
