Heated seats: Different temperature on seat and back rest

I was wondering if there is a way to adjust the temperature for seat and backrest on the MK7. After a long day of work I personally really enjoy a heated back but I’m not a real fan of a heated butt.

Scrolling through Control unit 9 with my obdeleven I saw “Seat heater level current consumption allocation” and gave it a try. What can I say, it works for me! For setting 2 I set lower and upper temperature for the seat down to the values of setting 1 and increased the values for the back. As far as I understand these changes are now valid for driver and passenger seat.

Maybe someone likes it cooler at the back or wants to adjust the temperatures in general?

Good idea. I also don't like heat on my butt. I keep a foam stadium cushion on my seat for the same purpose.

I ‘m glad if it works for you too.

Drove home from the airport after a red eye yesterday in setting 2. After an hour of driving I adjusted the temperatures a little bit down for me. That’s what I like about this change, set it to a temperature you like.
