GTD first oil change?

My 4 mth old GTD oil change notification has come up after 7k miles. Don't they use long-life oil? I haven't been driving it (really) hard.

Personally, I'm doing it every 10k. If you have a dig around other forums, vws have been breaking down from the oil being too old and not lasting. Your dealer will probably reset the notification and stick to their guns of 15k miles although I'd change it no matter what vw say! Especially the first change, where often more is used for lubricating running in
