yeah appreciate the recommendation. Depending on what I get back and timelines...I just may lol.If you're still putting feelers out there, and are willing to drive to NE PA, check in with Josh at Nothing Leaves Stock in Coopersburg. They treated me like a king when they did my clutch, LSD, and mount upgrades. VAG is their bread and butter. Pretttty sure they've built a few engines in their day
They also have done a ton of 2.5 boosting and vr6 boosting and serious engine swaps from one chassis to another. YupDidn't Altered Components come back with a November timeframe?
He should be cool with it. Did Thomas tell you about the break-in process for your built engine and what break-in oil you should use?Yup
Now I’m just verifying he’s cool with the process. I have to drop my car off, he has to Yank the engine, ship it to BBT, BBT will transfer the accessories over to the new block, BBT will then ship the new block back to Altered components, and then Josh will install.

Is your long block not staying as a core for him? I’d say the swap is just part of his service and helps him have better qc over more of the process than leaving it to the installer. So answer this…. Why would BBT want me to ship my old engine WITH accessories on it, to swap over to the new longblock?
Yah was thinking it is part of his warranty too. Long block will be staying as a coreIs your long block not staying as a core for him? I’d say the swap is just part of his service and helps him have better qc over more of the process than leaving it to the installer.
quality-wise, he has control of the process and can minimize the chance of contamination. if i had the option to install my turbo, hpfp, pcv, oil cooler, etc. in a clean room I would. So answer this…. That makes perfect sense actually…he did say don’t send the turboquality-wise, he has control of the process and can minimize the chance of contamination. if i had the option to install my turbo, hpfp, pcv, oil cooler, etc. in a clean room I would.
Well yeah because he doesn't want to risk that getting damaged in the shipping process. Don't worry, you are in good hands with BBT.That makes perfect sense actually…he did say don’t send the turbo
