I know, but I don’t have exact specs…. Need the blueprint dataYour pistons aren't exactly 83mm, nor are the cylinder walls...
How are your filters looking?Final drain/fill of conventional oil to break this engine in. Very consistent “grey” throughout the oil, as to be expected.
Now to start introducing mid level boost!
Sure is… it wants to go from 10 psi to 30 in a secondthis is the 2260 turbo right? Man I bet that thing wants to boogie lol.
So jealous lolSure is… it wants to go from 10 psi to 30 in a second
I can't wait for your 28 or 30 series.....when you going to commit? So jealous lol
Probably this spring, right now the focus is getting the hood and fenders re-cleared, and doing something audio wise. I am likely doing a build with Carillo pistons and either a Vortex XL or a 3067. I will support fueling with MPI, RS3 brushless, upgraded PR lines, and an e content solution. Also going in will be upgraded engine and tranny mounts. Kind of hunting the LPFP now because I have the surge pump recall. Might as well do it all while I am in there. I am just not sure how the pump will play with the IS38... and with that, that has me thinking just take it to the shop in Houston because they keep Vortex turbo's in stock. I could have them do everything but the build. The build itself my local shop here will do that. The Houston shop can do it, but idk... tossing scenarios around and picturing 10k leaving my account makes me hyperventilate lol.I can't wait for your 28 or 30 series.....when you going to commit?
I still have MPI in a box and tune for it waiting to go on after break in
once you just accept that it is what it is, you'll come to grips with it LOLThe build itself my local shop here will do that. The Houston shop can do it, but idk... tossing scenarios around and picturing 10k leaving my account makes me hyperventilate lol.
Does upgrading LPFP require retuning? I imagine swapping pumps can't be plug and play without consequencesYou can run an RS3 on any turbo. It's just a fuel pump.
to utilize it correctly, I would assume tuning to call for more fuel...but throwing in an upgraded lffp shouldn't require tuning on a current tune that doesn't necessitate MORE fuel...but we'll let Dr. Diggs answerDoes upgrading LFFP require retuning?
