GPS reporting incorrect location

I just bought my first mk7 - and love it! - and I thought when I checked it out before buying that the current location was correct.
Having got it home, it is reporting that I'm 28 miles away - and the same each time I turn Maps on. If I put a destination in, it works out a route so I need to reset that initial location somehow.
I've updated the maps and my home address but the location is still wrong
Is there a way to reset the gps?

Currently in the Atlantic Ocean!
The GPS has started seeing satellites and corrected the location twice - then stopped again so it is intermittent.
Any ideas on resetting? Or do I need to replace it (expensively I assume) ?

Hi Jachas - no errors but when it worked it reported 10/11 gps satellites but now back to 0/0 or 0/1 all the time - so the fault is intermittent rather than permanent. Loose wiring/connections perhaps. I'm thinking I'll have to take the internal roof cover off and access the sharks fin as someone else mentioned that's where the GPS lives.
Can anyone confirm this before I have a go?

Yes, GPS antena is on roof. AFAIR, Blue FAKRA connector. Red should be phone (lte) and beige for telestart (webasto remote)
