I would have reported it straight to the police, in fact i still would, that's not acceptable, it's dangerous and that could be someone's life ruined.

Just watched that video, you would have to say that must be a company car, after waiting nearly 3 months for mine I would never put it in that position. Crackers.

Send that straight to the police! People like that deserve to have their licence torn up! Could have quite easily resulted in an accident, and on the motorway, a fatality.

James75 is spot on, drive like a dick and risk your own life, its your choice but it's not your choice to ruin the life of an innocent bystander.

That said, I watched the clip a couple of times and I have to say the camera car isnt faultless either. At the start of the clip, the camera car and GTD pass a few other vehicles like they are stood still. Were they racing? He even admits to begin sticking to 70.

When the car pulls in and the GTD draws past you can hear the camera car revs increase to undertake on purpose. One of my pet hates is people who undertake but I would never react like GTD did.

Its all well posting clips on youtube claiming foul but camera car driver needs to have a word with himself as well

Driver must have had a temper tantrum, no excuse for driving like that.

Not the best driving in the world by that chap

May I ask what make/model dash cam you are using? I am thinking of adding one when I get my new motor.

Very true though. Company cars tend to be driven with hardly any regard as they know the company will pay for any damage. It's no coincidence that 3 series bmw's are very popular company cars.....and they are always driven by dicks!

I agree with above comments.

Without your car-cam evidence, I would have thought you were exaggerating (with due respect). You are so lucky that you were not taken out.

Was anyone else in the car with you? In a court case, a second witness would be total curtains for the mad driver.

This isn't my footage, by the way. I just saw it and shared the link. I would love a dash cam though as I see idiots every day.

James (and others) that's the M42 and will be featured on RTA news articles again this winter (I hate it). Trouble with the dash cam footage, is you cannot see all around the car. For the car to have bleeped him in the 1st bit then the poster may not have been fully aware of the other vehicles presence. The poster also put, he indicated to do this and that, usung the indicators is good, but it does not autmatically give right of way just a signal of intent. It appears the car was already in that lane when the poster decided to move into it, not realising the other car was already there in the blind spot and what you saw was the evasive action.
By the way that was not me :)

Over taking lane, under taking? What country are you from?
There are no such things as overtaking lanes never have or will and apart from using the emergency lane when not in a emergency it is within the Highway Code that you are allowed to make progress in your lane if safe to do so. Every body every time should leave the correct braking distance but who am I to remind someone about there driving?

I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that in the UK on a 3 lane motorway for example, lane 1 is supposed to be where you do most of the driving and lanes 2 and 3 are overtaking lanes, because you move back to lane 1 when finished overtaking. It's what the Highway Code says anyway.....but in reality lane 1 is often unusable due to the convoy of lorries doing 50-60mph. And lane 2 is often blocked with the 65mph hogs and lane 3 turns into the 70-100mph lane which is where you get tailgated if you take too long for their liking to overtake!
