Golf R Wheels on GTI

Amazing! The OEM wheels on my ‘15 GTI weigh 26#. Guess there must be some unknown value in the thousands more that an R costs. I went with aftermarket Enkei’s in the original size to get 21#.

I'd imagine this is why Prets no longer come on the 7.5 R. MSRP of one Pretoria is something like $650 - I can imagine they're more expensive to make. The stock R wheels are back to being standard cast ones - probably about the same weight as the GTI wheels. All about those cost cutting measures.

19" black pretorias are still an option in 2019 R.
