Golf R radiator fan in GTI

In case anyone was wondering, the OEM MK7 Golf R dual fan radiator does fit the MK7 GTI without any modifications.

I recently got my hands on the fan setup for next to nothing and just tried it for fun.

I was concerned about the stock GTI airbox not clearing the Golf R rad fan which it does with no rubbing.

All the mounting tabs line up and slot in perfectly.

Few things to note:
- seems to move more air
- dual fan setup is definitely louder than stock GTI fan at full blast
- could not verify if a larger fuse will be needed due to additional power draw

Sorry no pics. Forgot to take them before installation.

I might be able to get some top shots when I get a chance.

It's multiple part numbers as it's not sold as 1 unit.

I actually replaced the fan mounting bolts since the ones I had were really rusty.

Found out the hard way that parts.vw.com did not list the "large fan" bolts. The fan bolts for both are different lengths.

Large fan: 5Q0959455BJ
Small fan: 5Q0959455AH
Large fan bolts: N10762601 (x3)
Small fan bolts: WHT007235 (x3)
