Golf mk7 GTD sound external sound actuator not working

Hi guys!
I recently bought a mk7 golf gtd and noticed the external sound actuator not working. I know a lot of people don’t like them but I would appreciate the help on getting mine fixed. The fault code I get when I scan the car with Carly is
“000006, this fault results from a generic communication issue in the ECU: Actuator for external noise (internal GR92)”

I thought about buying a new ecu for it but though I might give this forum a try.

It could be that either the wires to the module have been damaged, or the actuator module itself is broken. You’re sure it’s not working? Sometimes these codes come up randomly even when things are ok.

You could also build your own “external sound actuator” by installing a loud exhaust . Haha
